''The History of Montura Ranch Estates''

THE ORIGIN OF MONTURA RANCH ESTATES:

Located in Hendry County, Florida, began as a vast expanse of rural land, predominantly used for agriculture and livestock. In 1970, the Pan American Land Development Corp. planned and developed the town we now know as Montura Ranch Estates, inspired by the natural beauty and agricultural potential of the region. The vision was simple yet ambitious: to transform this space into a community that offers a balance between rural life and certain modern conveniences. On June 22, 1970, the Pan American Land Development Company dedicated the land to the Central County Drainage District.

1980s AND 90s – GROWTH AND DIVERSIFICATION:

In the 1980s, many lots were sold to people from other countries, particularly Puerto Rico and many other states as land investments. The community began to attract a diverse population, including families and retirees, all in search of a quieter lifestyle connected to nature. During this time, farms, small businesses, and community services were established, strengthening the social fabric of Montura Ranch.

Modernization and Sustainability:

Entering the year 2000, Montura Ranch Estates faced the challenge of modernizing while maintaining its rural and agricultural character. The community began to increase in value and several companies started to build modern concrete homes in the middle of 2005, envisioning a promising future. In 2008, the national economy of the United States collapsed and, as in many places, everything came to a halt and prices fell through the floor.

From 2008 to 2018, many people lost their properties and the dream of Montura lost much faith. Foreign investors did not feel the impact as much and still a large part maintains their land with the dream of retiring in a rural area with the conveniences of the city, with the great advantage that we are close to everything.

Today – A Resilient Community:

Today, Montura Ranch Estates stands out as a testament to resilience and adaptability. With its expansive lands, it has attracted a diverse population, including families looking for a lifestyle closer to nature and those with agricultural or equestrian interests. The community has maintained its rural character while adapting to modern needs, offering a balance between rural life and access to modern conveniences. With a population that values both tradition and innovation, the community remains an attractive place for those seeking a refuge in nature with access to the advantages of modern life.

When you visit, drive through our streets and you will see a large number of new and modern houses being built. Unlike the cities, the plots are a minimum of 1 acre and considering ourselves rural and agricultural, we can raise animals and harvest on our lands.
